Figuring out what to give a customer as a closing gift can be difficult and sometimes stressful for some Realtors®. In the past, I've given gift cards, wine, and even Cutco knife sets with personalized engraving on the blades. Some of these items are very impersonal and once used are gone forever (as are you when they are no longer reminded of you and your gift).
My wife recently introduced me to Thirty One brand bags which can be custom emroidered to each client. Depending on the price of the transaction, I'll choose an appropriate sized bag, customize it with the customers last name, initials or the state of Florida with the year they purchased and fill it with some fun and useful housewarming gifts. It's easy to pick up some coffee, wine, batteries, small houseware items, toys/books (for the little ones) and of course a gift card to a local store where they can purchase items needed when transitioning to a new home. The great part is that the bag will become an item that they'll use daily for organization, storage or grocery runs and it will be a constant reminder of your help during their sale or purchase and that it was from you.
Here are examples of two bags I recently gifted.
If you are looking for a new way to present housewarming or thank you gifts, consider using Thirty One brand bags as part of the gifting process. These bags store flat when not needed and are very useful on a day-to-day basis keeping it, and you, at the top of their minds. Your customers will also appreciate the personalized embroidery touch. Thity One brand bags will sometimes run specials which is when I'll pick up a few like the ones pictured above and bottom right with an embroidery that I can use for anyone buying or selling in Florida. The line of bags is extensive, from a simple lunch tote to a large duffle making some of the smaller bags perfect for "pop-by" gifts to past clients.
